Range Road Enterprises is a small family run Canadian company that started out when two guys with bad backs thought there must be a better, affordable way to cut and split wood. In 2011 we were selling Log Splitters and started looking at ideas on how to make them better.

This led us to developing our first basic processor, we started working with a Chinese factory and our first model – the RR1000 was born, a 6HP, 6 Ton Firewood Processor that worked extremely well, all of these units are still out there years later, working great.

The RR1000 went through a few changes and ended up as a 9HP 6 ton unit and because after all, this is Canada and bigger is better!

We developed a new unit, the RR2000 that would handle 16” logs and had a conveyor, with further input from our customers we made a few changes to the body and conveyor and so we had the RR2500 produced!
It was at this time we made the decision that to look after our customers properly we needed to have local dealers that people could go to for demo’s, purchasing, support and replacement parts.

2011 – Range Road started out selling Log Splitters in Central Alberta

2013 – The RR2000, 16” max diameter, 10 Ton 13HP engine, 4” wide conveyor belt, with this processor we knew we had something good.

2014 – The RR2500, customer input helped make a few changes to the RR2000, the biggest change was to the conveyor, 6” belt and added sides.

2014 –  The infeed conveyor with a 6” belt and using parts that interchange with the rear conveyor was developed and added to the lineup. this would retrofit to all RR2000/RR2500/RR20T units with no welding.

2015 – The RR20T was introduced, 16” max. Diameter, 20 Ton, 14HP, customer input helped with many small changes and body modifications.

2016 – We added the RR10T and RR10T36 entry Level Firewood Processors as well as the RR120 12 Ton and RR270 27 Ton Hydraulic Log Splitter with cycle times of 4 and 6 seconds which were the fastest in the market. We would now have  our new 27 Ton Firewood Processor and added a couple more ATV/UTV Trailers to the lineup.

2017  – Added to the lineup, the RR27PTO Firewood Processor, RR390 & RR400 Series wood chippers, walk behind stump grinders and trenchers, suitcase generators & pressure washers, Log lifters, Log Tables and Log arches

2018  – we hit the 1000 mark for sales of our RR20T Firewood Processor. This was very exciting!

We added the RR415 & RR420 PTO wood chippers and we started warehousing some of our products in the USA.

2019 – We expanded our US warehouse with Gatts Wood Products in PA taking over US operations.

We rolled out our own line of 22″, 26″ and 29″ Sawmills, 3m & 5m sawmill trailers and accessories.

In mid 2019 we changed our equipment colour from gold to Pantone 541 Blue and introduced our 2019 Processor lineup as EcoPro models with many new features.

At this time, we need more support than our 1-2 man home operation so we upped it to 3 and brought on our son Jonah full time.

2020 – We upgraded our 2 post sawmills to 4 post.

2021 – Range Road added ATV trailers to the US warehouses as well as wood chippers.

We added another full time employee, who has officially been ‘adopted’ into the Range Road family. Spencer became our full time shipper/receiver and additional customer support.

2022 – We proudly developed and introduced the Canadian made firewood processor the RR30T made right here in Central Alberta.

The RR5018 18″ sawmill was brought in along with a 32″ & 36″ sawmill.

We added small farm implements to our line up. We started with mini balers, mowers, hay rake and a mini round bale wrapper. From here we grew into 3 point attachments and other equipment to compliment the new line.

2023 – The new RR25T Firewood Processor was introduced.

The 60 Series model sawmills rolled out, with some fresh changes thanks to customer input.

Operations moved from our Eckville home base to Lacombe store front. Warehousing expanded.

2024 – The EcoPro firewood processors had new models added, an entry level processor the EcoPro200 and a beefed up model the EcoPro350.

We added firewood bundlers and a variety of new ATV towable farm equipment.

2025 – more to come!

Since 2011 we have continued to improve our Firewood Processors and have added many other pieces of equipment that work with and around our Firewood Processor line up.

Our world headquarters is in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada
